Fort Clarence

Although shown on maps as a small beach, the name Fort Clarence beach is more common than many other Jamaican beaches. The beach is ideal for snorkeling, fishing, jet skis and swimming. It has other great attractions such as a cave on the far end of the beach and excellent seating areas. There is a lifeguard on hand to assist with any problems that might occur as patrons utilize the beach. However the venue is prime for Jamaican dancehall events and is a popular nightspot for lovers. We recommend the Fort Clarence beach a must visit for both locals and tourists.

The beach is huge. It can become ver windy at times and you stuff might fly away.
Regardless, its a very enjoyable experience, good fish, good times. If your no into the crowded beaches and the Lime Kay Hype, the Fort Clarence is a very nice escape.

smilies/cheesy.gif I love Fort Clarence - and I go there at least once per month. I usually find the water clear and the beach
clean. There are 3-4 lifeguards on duty at any given point in time. Other than the water and the sand, what I like about Fort Clarence is its security - you are never pestered by vendors and other undesirables - and you never have to wonder if your valuables are safe while you are in the water.
Thumbs up to Fort Clarence - keep up the good atmosphere and the great fish and festival!smilies/grin.gif

Average place. In comparison to the south coast beaches, it's the best...Nice tasting fish, clean, parking and not too packed. The actual water itself though is dirty, tolerable but shit. If ya wanna have a nice time in water..go lime cay or North coast..but to chill and par wid frens...is a nice place
