Not everyone has heard about this resort, but it is truly a one of a kind that has yet to be duplicated, at least I don't think.

We decided to go to this hotel to meet our family. My wife (due in May), my son (18 months) and I met up with my 2 other sisters and there families.(One with a 6 month year old and One with a 3 year old). Lets just say that this hotel will give any family the flexiblity it needs so that everyone (including parents!) can enjoy themselves.

We were lucky to get a very large 2 bedroom room. Lets just say that it was more like a townhouse! We had 2 air conditioned bedrooms upstairs with 2 seperate baths, and a large downstairs living area with a king bed, a sofa bed, a dinning table and a kitchen table. Not to mention the large balcony that looked over the lush green property. Very cool to sit out there reading and relax with the breeze.

Getting settled in we were greeted by a Nanny. A what?! Basically a loving carring employee that took care of all our kids during the day, and by the end of the week, she was like a part of the family. I wasn't sure that my 18 month old would take to anyone else, but she handled his moody ways and entertained him by walking and looking at the birds or by taking him to the kiddy centre. This was a great relief for my wife, as it gave her a chance to relax and be worry free for a few hours in the moring and in the afternoon. Although the nanny was there only from 9-5, we had the options to keep her on in the evening at our cost ($6/hr). I couldn't tell you the last time that we had an adult dinner....no crying or trying to entertain or distract a child, or apologizing to the next table...lol

All the staff were freindly and engaging. I can see the reason why so many of the other guest have been repeat guess for years! I met one family that has been there for the last 12 years! a testiment to the staff for sure. I met another family that has been there for the last 6 years.

The property is on the smaller side, and I can see why some may not like that, but for us being in a smaller resort was the best thing for keeping track of our kid. And although the poperty was small, they had a lot to offer. A lit tennis court, basketball court, small kids water slide, big kids water slide, kiddy pool, big pool, kiddy center (indoor), and outdoor play equipment. And there are multiple things offered during the day for adults and kids during the day if your the active type.

Again this resort was great for our family, and they catered the resturants and the food that way. We loved having a grill that we could go to and get anthing from jerk chicken to hamburgers. And for the parents that wanted an adult only dinner, they also have an italian resturant 3 nights during the week that had a fantastic antipasto bar.

Now, from what I understand, some have warned about the hotel needing to update, which I can see, but remembering to check your 1st world expectations at the door when you go to a 3rd world country, you remember that if this place was updated to 1st world standards, we would have had to pay hundreds, if not thousands more! And as a young family...we got VALUE, VALUE, VALUE!!!

I think that I may be one of those families going back next year! lol
